General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is possible with norethisterone to get breakthrough bleeding and very likely this is what is happening in your case.
If the bleeding lasts more than 7-10 days or it is heavy, you will need to see a doctor and make sure you are not developing anemia.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
