What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Recurrent Miscarriages?
I have a bicornuate uterus I am 38 years old I got my tubes clipped when I was 27 because I kept having miscarriages my uterus is in actually two pieces almost for about a year I have been spotting blood and having dark urine but I ve been in no pain it doesn t happen to me all the time but now the spotting from my urine it s happening more often I don t have a fever do you think this could have anything to do with my uterus
Detailed Answer: Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If bleeding is happening from the uterus it generally does not cause dark urine. If you collect the last portion of urine and it is dark color it is very unlikely it is due to uterine bleeding. The first portion might be a bit dark if you are bleeding (but you would need pads in this case), but the last part of urine should be clean if you are not bleeding so much that you need pads. To conclude i would say that it seems less likely the bleeding is due to uterine origin, please talk to your doctor and have at least a urinalysis and a urine culture to make sure what is going on.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards, Antoneta Zotaj, MD
