What Causes Vaginal Spotting And Abdominal Cramps?

Hi. I spotted for like maybe 10 minutes with no cramps last Saturday. Then nothing. Then it happened again Monday. Then nothing. Yesterday I started spotting again. This time it was heavier. Mild cramps. This time it lasted an hour. Today it s coming for an hour or so then leaving for like 3 hours. My normal start Dandre would have been Friday. Normally my periods are super heavy and lots of clots. But this time it s light pink. Yesterday was darker and today it changes. I have lost 26 pounds since January. We have been trying to conceive. I don t think it is implantation. I think my period is being crazy. What are your thoughts?

Hi, I think you should do a urine pregnancy test at home to rule out pregnancy first. If negative, it can be due to some infections or cervical pathology. Get yourself examined by a gynecologist. You may need some antibiotics. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries to find out any other cause of this.
