What Causes Vaginal Itching Along With Cough And Cold?
Hi I have been experiencing itch vaginal area and congestion and cough. Like if I m getting a cold. I have tried otc medication but still feel this way. I feel like I have had this cold like forever. The itch on the vaginal area has been like for 4-6 months.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
For cold symptoms, you can benefit from bed rest, drink plenty of water and herbs, use over-the-counter analgesics and decongestants to relieve your symptoms.
On the other hand, itching can be treated by treating the underlying disorder. So, you have to consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, especially if you have other symptoms such as vaginal discharge, where he/she would prescribe antibiotics or anti-fungal drugs according to findings with steroid creams for itching.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Abed Tahrawi
