What Causes Vaginal Bleeding?

I have bleeding from the vagina. This has only been happening for the past two days. I am in menapause. Age- 82. I just was in the hospital with a bad bladder infection , that went to sepsis. I was given pills for 9 days and I am going to have my doctor check my on Friday to see if the infection is cleared. However, I am concerned now about this bleeding.. I have autoimmune diseases.. not cancer..

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

Postmenopausal bleeding is of concern, it may be a sign of cancer.

It may also occur in endometrial atrophy too, local injuries, vaginal atrophy, etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Meena Jethani,
OBGYN
