What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While Suffering From An Ovarian Cyst?

Hi, I am 37 and been on norethisterone tablets the last 4 years to stop my period due to widespread endometriosis. I had an op 4 months ago to remove my gall bladder and a few post op problems since. One thing that has been picked up is a strange cyst on my right overy which needs to be re scanned in 6 weeks to see if it is changing. That is my history - the reason I am writing to you is I am having vaginal bleeding every time I have a bowel movement which at the moment is around every 10+ days since I have no appetite... could this be related to any of my above history or is there a risk I have a problem with my cervix? I d be greatful for any advice. Many thanks :-)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There may be an endometriotic deposit in cervix or upper vagina which is causing bleed precipitated by bowel movement. Please undergo ultrasound pelvis to find exact cause.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
