What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While On Treatment For Endometriosis?

Good evening. About a month ago ,I had laporascopy ,and doctor said I had endometriosis .I had so start take birth control pill the following day., I have to take for 3 month without taking the non hormonal pils.So I won t have my period.i started to bleed like a week ago. Feel like having my period .. Is it normal?( junel 21 name of the birth control) thank you for the answer,regards Andrea

Hi,

The hormonal pills you are taking without a break of non-hormonal pills, that's why you have no periods. The hormonal pills taken at a stretch for 3 months helps to suppress endometriosis but it also has a side effect of irregular spotting / vaginal bleeding. You are having the same. Nothing to worry about, continue taking pills as advised. Only thing to do is to follow good vaginal hygiene.
