Hi, I m 38 years old. 2 months ago, I had the hysterescopy due to a big fibroid. Dr wasn t able to remove 100% of it. 40% was very attached to my uterus. 2 months after I keep bleeding like having period. Is it normal? For how long is this going to be?

Hi,

You had partial hysterectomy. That means part of uterus was preserved. Vaginal bleeding is shedding of blood from inner lining of uterus due to menstrual hormonal effect.

If your bleeding is normal, periodic&stops automatically. Its menstrual bleeding. Don't worry. But abnormal bleeding needs gynecologists attention. Please consult.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
