What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Post A Laparoscopic Surgery?

Hi, I had a laproscopy surgery for rapture appendix 2 weeks ago. After surgery, 12 hrs they Doctor dicharged me with out antibiotic. Then I had to go back to hospital with infection. They keep me 1 week In the hospital. Went home with more oral antibiotic and Probiotic oral. Now I notice that I had a blood discharge when I wipe my vagina after urinating but not painfull. Is this normal Doctor.Many thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possible cause of your bleeding is intermenstrual spotting because of hormonal imbalance due to stress of surgery or because of the effect of the antibiotics.
If the bleeding is minimal and subsides, no need to worry.
But if the bleeding is persistent or increases in quantity, better to consultant gynaecologist once get examined and take treatment accordingly.
