What Causes Urine Leakage In A 43-year-old Male, With A Healthy Prostate?

when my ex boyfriend goes pee, he will wipe when finished, & wait to make sure there it is done leaking out. Often times it will still continue to leak even after leaving the bathroom. He had a prostate exam done & was told that is fine. Yet He Still keeps having this issue, to the point of having to change his boxers. What would cause urine leakage like this in a 43 year old male?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Leakage of urine in males can occur due to various conditions like enlargement of prostate, urinary incontinence, stress incontinence etc.
A normal sized prostatic enlargement rules out possibility of prostatomegaly as the cause of urinary incontinence.
Stress incontinence is a condition in which urine leaks due to stress caused by cough, sneezing etc.
If urine is leaking after stress, then probably stress is cause of urine incontinence.
Urinary tract infection is also lead to urinary incontinence.
Thus, a routine urine examination is required to rule out urinary tract infection.
All the above mentioned causes are due to abnormality of urinary bladder.
Urine incontinence can also occur due to neurological disorders.
Urinary bladder is controlled by spinal nerves S1, S2 and S3.
Any abnormality of these spinal nerves can lead to urinary incontinence.
Thus, complete clinical assessment is required to look for neurological or local bladder condition for the symptoms.
I suggest you to consult an urologist for clinical assessment and further management.

Thanks and take care
