What Causes Urinary Incontinence While Suffering From Kidney Stones?

I have kidney stones, and progressively over the last few years have had degreasing urinary control. The last pap smear, the doctor said I didn t appear to show that the bladder had dropped. Would like to know what could be causing the continued increase in urinary leakage. I can go to the bathroom and immediately sneeze or cough and have substantial leakage.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice

Urinary leak may have many causes, the one you said that there is leakage with cough or sneeze, is called 'stress incontinence' this is because of weakening of the pelvic muscles and is common with advanced age. It can be helped by pelvic floor exercises. However, this must be confirmed and other causes should be ruled out. You must see urologist in this regards. I personally would have advise a uro-dynamic studies that would exactly dig out the cause. Stones seems to be not relevant here though they can some times cause infection that may contribute.

Hope I have answered your query.
