What Causes Upper Back Pain After Taking Primidone?

I have been diagnosed with cerebral ischemia. Am on Primidone to control seizures. But I have this excruciating pain in my upper back which is causing my left arm to throb and feeling numb. It just seem to go away. I don t feel like the root cause of my health issues has been found. Earliest symptoms began 8 years ago when I began experiencing numbness in one or both legs when I walked. From there various symptoms the worst when I started having seizures.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms could be related to compression of the cervical spine probably from a slipped intervertebral disc.

In my opinion, your symptoms are not related to the stroke or Primidone.

For this reason, I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and performing a cervical spine MRI study.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
