What Causes Unmotivated And Down Feeling After Stop Wearing Nicotine Patch?

I have given up smoking for 10 weeks now.. and have just gone down to the 5mg patch from the 10mg nicotine patch. However, I forgot to wear it for a few days thinking 'I could probably stop wearing them now'.. but have been feeling really down and unmotivated for the last few days. Could this be the reason? Should I go back to wearing the 5mg patches?
