What Causes Twitching In Lower Abdomen With Some Discharge?

I ve had my period on Dec. 22nd but before and after that date I was feeling some type of twitching in the lower abdomen and some type of twitching occurs in the upper abdomen on either side. This is still occurring with some discharge. Could I be pregnant although I ve had my period only several days ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is a low possibility of pregnancy in your case. It isn't possible to have a period while you're pregnant. Rather, you might experience 'spotting' during early pregnancy, which is usually light pink or dark brown in color.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
