What Causes Twitching In Eyelid While Having Swollen Lymph Node On Parotid?

I am one year past total thyroidectomy, due to thyroid cancer. A recent ultrasound shows either a mass or swollen lymph node on my right parotid. Ultrasound will be repeated in 3 months to see if it has grown. Now my right eyelid is twitching, on and off all day, and sometimes wakes me up at night. I am guessing my facial nerve is being affected by the node/tumor. Would this happen with a swollen lymph node, or does this symptom make it more likely that it is a tumor?

Hi
Twitching is a non specific feature.
It may be due to facial nerve irritation which has its path through parotid mass.
It may be due to simple mental stress.
Twitching itself is not a serious indicator of any thing.
Relax and hope for the best.
