What Causes Twinges On The Side Of The Ribs And Lower Back?

I have been having on and off twinges on the right side by my ribs and a little lower sometimes. Sometimes on my side too. It started after what felt like a gallbladder attack. I cut most fat out of my diet and that helped the gallbladder pain but still getting twinges.

Hi,

We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to have an ultrasound abdomen as well as liver functions evaluation. Both liver and gallbladder issues need to be worked up.

Meanwhile, antacids like omeprazole before meals and antispasmodic like drotaverine can be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
