Hi,
The infectious disease doctor with do some tests to check how sensitive is the bacteria to drugs.
From tuberculosis caused by sensitive bacteria (99.8% of cases with tuberculosis), almost all properly treated patients have been cured. The success rate is 95%, with a relapse rate of 5% caused mainly by a nonadherence to therapy.
For drug-resistant bacteria, the success rate is lower, with 50-60% cure.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help. Wish you good health.
