What Causes Trembling Hands With History Of Fracture In Nasal Passages?

I have a 14 year old son. When he was 12 he was in a 4-wheel accident. It fractured his nasal passages and the back of his left orbital socket. In the past year he has brought to my attention his hands tremble. More noticeable in his right hand, probably because he s right hand dominant. Why would a 14 year old boys hands tremble? We no longer have insurance so I can t afford to take him to a doctor.

Hi,

There are many possible causes for trembling hands, including neurological disorders, medications, stress, anxiety, and genetic factors. In your son's case, the history of a previous injury to his nasal passages and orbital socket may be relevant, as nerve damage or trauma to the brain can sometimes result in tremors.

It is important to note that without a proper medical evaluation, it is impossible to determine the exact cause of your son's trembling hands. If the tremors are persistent and affecting his daily activities, it is strongly recommended to seek medical attention, even if insurance is not available. Some clinics or hospitals may offer discounted or free medical care to those without insurance.

The doctor may perform a physical exam and possibly order diagnostic tests, such as blood work or imaging, to determine the cause of the tremors. Depending on the underlying condition, treatment options may include medication, physical therapy, or lifestyle changes.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
