What Causes To Wake Up With Mucus/redness In Eyes And Sore Throat?

When I wake up my eyes are closed shut with mucus and they are very red (both of my eyes) the mucus stops, but my eyes continue to be red through out the day. They itch a little not much though. I also have a sore throat. It hurts to swallow mostly on the left side of my throat. I haven't had fever, but I wake up very achy. I'm not sure what this could be or if it's nothing at all. I've been like this for a good week now.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having sore throat associated with mucus discharge and redness of the eyes.
This indicates infection of the eyes and it treatment by antibiotic eye drops. Along with this this requires treatment for sore throat with appropriate antibiotics as this can be the source of infection.

Thank you
