What Causes Tiredness, cough, night Sweats And Loss Of Weight And Appetite?

I had open heart surgery almost 10 months ago. Everything was okay until about 6 months after surgery. As for my heart, my cardiologist assured me that everything was okay. The symptoms that I shared with him were, very very tired. I could sleep all the time. I had a cough, that seemed to be worst in the morning but it could start anytime without any warning, occasionally night sweats, lost weight, from 190 to 160 and no appetite. He told me these symptoms had nothing to do with my medication or my heart. I had blood work and I am anemic. I was put on iron and vitamin D. What could be wrong with me? Thank you

Hi,

It depends on the type of surgery you have undergone.
In case you had a surgery of valve replacement, it can have complications of anemia.
Your comolaints most probably are caused by anemia.
If your surgery wasn't valve replacement surgery, then you should look another cause for your anemia and symptoms.
Anyway iron will help to recover from anemia.

Hope I could help you

Wishing you good health
