What Causes Tiredness Even After Sleep?

I am a 58 year old man that always gets a clean bill of health at my check-ups... I am always tired, really tired. This started to really concern me about a year ago. Even if I sleep well I wake up tired, need a nap mid-day and am out by 10. Am I ready for the home or is there some hope?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Dear,
Welcome to HCM
A condition of depression, insomnia, stress, anaemia, thyroid problem, general medical condition needs to be considered.
I suggest you to get a baseline investigations of Complete blood profile, Vitamin B12 levels testing, ESR and thyroid levels done.

i would like to know if:
you are feeling low, depressed lately for most of the day.
feeling of ending your life,
not able to enjoy any pleasurable activities,
prefer to lie in room and be with own for most of the time.

Positive symptoms of these suggest a condition of depression, for which a psychiatrist consultation is must.
At the same time a detailed schedule regarding your sleep pattern is needed.

Kindly follow up with the information and the results at my portal as Dr Pankaj Borade, general physical.

regards,
Dr Pankaj Borade
