Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain and explanation of the location of the bumps it seems that the bumps are not due to any pathology but are elevated small Sebaceous glands known as FORDYCE'S SPOTS OR FORDYCE'S GRANULES.

They appear as small elevated bumps on the cheek mainly located extending from corner of the mouth.Although you have noticed it now it could have been there from long back..

They are harmless and removal is not needed.

Other reasons for white bumps on the cheeks can be due to viral( herpes), bacterial infection or any allergy..

But as it is not causing any symptoms it is more probably Fordyce's Spots.

You need not to do anything for it and only if you have any aggravation of symptoms like pain, increase in size, redness etc you can consult a dentist or a physician..

Hope this information helps..

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have symptoms of white bumps inside of cheeks it is because of inflammation and irritation with burning it with hot food and after that continuous irritation by teeth in that area which affect the mucous lining in that area and leads to formation of Fordyce granules which are due to accumulation of salivary glands in that area.

I would suggest you not to worry about anything as this condition is completely normal. It will resolve its own. try eating cold ice creams, drinking cold water. Apply tea tree oil on cotton and apply on these bumps for faster relief. Take combination of Tylenol and Acetaminophen for pain relief and faster recovery.

Visit dentist once and get it examined properly by taking patch from that area by patch test and start treatment accordingly if it is persisting for more than a week.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
