my doctor says i have shingles. I am only 43 and I don t see that the area is fluid filled. I thought it was a cluster of bug bites. It is very itchy. I am worried that she may be missing something else. A painful lump in my lower neck near my collarbone is present too. I understand that it may be a swollen lymph node. Shingles occurs when your immune system is suppressed by serious illnesss. Should I be concerned about lymphomia or something like that? I did have an autoimmune anitbodies a few monts ago that were thought to be from hashi moto thyroid disease
Hello, I can understand your concern for the tiny itchy bumps. After reviewing your query it doesn’t appears to be related to shingles infection. In shingles we find multiple blisters which are quite painful and forms ulcers which heal in next two weeks. In your case I am not able to find such kind of futures so shingles is not a possibility. In my view it appears to be related to contact allergy causing allergic contact dermatitis. I suggest you to take a second opinion from another dermatologist. Till the time you take second opinion an antihistamine tablet such as loratadine or cetrizine can be taken to reduce the tendency to itch. I suggest you to meet a dermatologist to take further guidance. All the best.
