What Causes Tiny, Black Spot Near Clitoris?

I wish to keep my name anonymous. I have this tiny black spot near my clitoris/uretha opening. Its very skin smooth and it hasn t gotten worse but, hasn t gotten better either. I had it checked out by a nurse practitioner and she said it was a skin discoloration but, is it suppose to give discomfort once in awhile?

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

It could be a simple melanosis or melanocytic nevi. Both are non malignant lesion. But it should be differentiated from premalignant lesion. Hence, gave a dermatologist opinion before coming to a conclusion without examining the lesion. Slight discomfort may be there.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana Rajesh Babu, OB & GYN Specialist
