What Causes Tinnitus, Vertigo And Confusion When Diagnosed With Meniere S Disease?
I have had minor ringing in my ears for many months. 1 1/2 months ago both ears also suddenly started closing up. I developed a sudden case of Vertigo a1 1/2 weeks ago that has not gone away. The ringing and closed feeling is in both ears. I also feel that my eyes are not focusing well but it is not blurry vision. I am also having headaches and mental confusion. I feel strange sensations in my arms and legs as well. My PCP diagnosed Menieres Disease without doing any kind of exam or testing. He prescribed the Diuretic which I have been on for almost 1 week but problem still persists. We did not talk about any other possibilities. Am concerned about whether it is Meneire s due to the mental confusion and feeling of weakness and fatigue in my arms and legs. Do you have any ideas about what this could be?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if it is the ringing sound in ear so it may have many reason but most common could be wax impaction, fungal infection, and to rule these out better to see the ENT surgeon, some time it may be nonspecific one it is bit challenging some time may need several investigations hope this information helps.
