What Causes Tinnitus And Vibrations In The Head?

I am having chronic headaches. I ve gotten a mouth guard for the pain on the sides of my head. I am still getting headaches right on the top of my head. They start about 10:30 am. I get noise(sounds like static) in my left ear with vibrations in my head. Then the headache would arrive around 30 minutes later. I ve been using excedrin migraine to get through the day. Recently I have been eating some protein at 10:30 and it seems to put the headache off until after lunch. Its not as severe. The noise and vibrations in the ear started in 2010 and I have had varying degrees of severity. I have also taken a lot of the sugar out of my diet. The next step is the salt. I am due for blood work this month and need to have a follow up apt with her. Do oh have any ideas what it might be? Thank you, Theresa Breweiler

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

It can be caused by ear problems in your outer, middle or inner ear. It also can be caused by problems with the hearing (auditory) nerves or the part of your brain that interprets nerve signals as sound (auditory pathways). Objective tinnitus is tinnitus your doctor can hear when he or she does an examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monish De, Oncologist
