I am 74, had 2 heart attacks and recently experienced very mild static sounds in my left ear. Sometimes (maybe 3 or 4 times a day) I get a frightening jolt with less mild static. This no more than 2 second jolt seems electrical and ear related, causing me to hold onto something for fear of falling. An ENT Dr. doesn t think it is a Tullio situation. MRI s and CAT scans (head and ear canals) showed nothing definitive. Quite a few doctors seem baffled, suggestions include certain balance exercises via therapy. It is hard to describe the jolt (maybe a complete shutdown with no pain). Doctors I ve spoken to (I was hospitalized twice recently with disorientation and jolts ) have not heard of anyone with jolts . It seems to me that there must be others with this jolt symptom - I d love to hear of their situations. Dan YYYY@YYYY
