What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Nipple Area?
I m 42, 50 lbs over weight with 5 live births and 9 pregnancies. Occasionally I have experienced an electric tingling sensation in the nipple but recently, in the last year or so, it has become more painful and throbbing. The beast itself is now sensitive and painful and the electric shock sensation is harsher. No lumps on examination. Early menopause does run in the family history. What could this be, what could make it worse and how can I gain relief?

An ultrasound scan must be taken to look for any small non palpable lump underneath the breast. Possible causes like eczema must be ruled out.
