What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Fingers While Suffering From Anemia?
My daughter has anemia and is also experiencing tingling in her fingers and toes on the first day of her periods. She is 32 and and eats a very healthy diet. She stays very fit, teaches yoga. She recently experienced a lot of symptoms including acid reflux after a vomiting episode. She was tested for a variety of disorders and none showed positive. She was tested for ulcers, colitis, and a few others. Any ideas what she should do next?
I think she may need to get tested for vitamin B12 levels. Sometimes lack of vitamin B12 levels can cause these symptoms and taking vitamin B supplements can make her better. Also she may need to check iron levels and feritimemia.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
