What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Arms And Legs While Sleeping?

Hello. I have been waking up every night with tingling in different areas of my body. Sometimes my face. Sometimes my arms or legs. A few times it was my face (mostly right side) right arm and right leg. I thought it was a stroke so I went to the ER. MRI and CT scans of the head were negative and lab work was normal. I have seen a neurologist and he was unable to diagnose anything wrong either. However, these symptoms have continued for over a month. They somewhat improve during the day but at night it is terrible. Every time I fall asleep the tingling in my arms/legs/ or face wakes me up again. This continues until morning. I am exhausted from lack of sleep. I am concerned that no one can find the cause. Can you help me?

Well, these are signs of certain neuropathic issues and this is most commonly seen in some metabolic disorders such as diabetes,of the most common causes of peripheral neuropathy, accounting for about 30% of cases. In diabetic neuropathy, tingling and other symptoms often first develop in both feet and go up the legs, followed by tingling and other symptoms that affect both hands and go up the arms.
