What Causes Tingling Sensation In Lips And Mouth Along With Cheeks?

Hi, for the last few days I've been having tingling in my lips and mouth (including teeth)and a little in my cheeks/face. I have mild sinus congestion on a regular basis but breath freely without issue. I've also been having headaches behind my eyes and in the general sinus area over the last week. With the headaches, I'm getting earaches as well. There is no fever, sore throat and no mucus to expel. Any idea of what I can try?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain tingling sensation of lips and mouth including teeth and a little tingling on cheek and face with a history of having sinus infection can be due to Sinus infection only while other causes that can also commonly cause such symptoms are Vitamin B12 and calcium deficiency, potassium deficiency, traumatic injury or inflammation of facial nerve that supplies muscles of face, anxiety and panic attacks, nerve inflammation and infection caused by viruses etc..
I would suggest you to first of all consult your treating Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis..
In case if Sinusitis is ruled out as the culprit either you will be advised to take a course of antibiotics, pain relievers, steam inhalations and saline nasal irrigations,,
In case if Sinusitis is not the cause then you will be advised to get investigations done like MRI, CT Scan, Nerve conduction studies, Electromyogram etc to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treat you accordingly..
You can be advised to take multivitamins along with calcium and potassium supplements..
You can do warm compresses over the lips and face.
You can also do breathing exercises along with meditation to keep stress minimal..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
