What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness In Foot Caused After Injury?

I injured my left leg March around the front and lower calf as well as my foot. The Dr took six x-rays and nothing was broken . She said I had tissue damage and it would take a long time to heal. By summer I was able to have a full work out again and even went dancing several times. However the end of September I re-injured that foot when I kicked the wheel on a cart trying to keep it from falling off while it was full and in use. Now when I work out I have to so careful of too much intensity on that foot. It seems like it feels a little tingling slightly numb that comes and goes. Some pain no swelling . Last night I went bowling and I guess stomped that foot a little and today I used the treadmill lightly but the pain is back. I wrapped an ace bandage around it and my toes felt a little burning so I took it off. Still no swelling but it seems that it would be if it were injured badly.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that you may have ligament damage to an area in the lower limb that is persisting. There may be also be minor nerve damage since you are experiencing tingling sensation.

You may want to consider seeing an orthopedic specialist for assessment of the limb to determine if there is any injury present.
More accurate imaging such as an MRI , may be needed.

I hope this helps
