Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the past two weeks I have had some tingling and numbness in both legs and feet and now over the last three or four days I have had the same feeling kind of surrounding my lower torso but not as bad now in legs and feet although its still there to a degree.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The problem what you could be encountering with tingling and numbness sensation in the legs could be due to three reasons: 1. Inadequate blood supply. 2. Vitamin B12, Pantothenic acid and Thiamine (Vitamin B1) deficiency. 3. Calcium deficiency. Improvement of blood circulation can be established by doing regular exercise such as going for brisk walk. 2. Vitamin B12, Pantothenic acid and Thiamine (Vitamin B1) deficiency can be overcome by intake of foods rich in Vitamin B12 such as probiotics and supplementing with multivitamin capsules. Calcium deficiency can be overcome by intake of foods rich in calcium like milk and supplementing calcium in the form of tablets. Kindly take the above measures and your symptoms should subside gradually. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
