What Causes Tingling And Numbness In The Hands And Fingers?
i recently have been experiencing tingling and numbness in my hands and fingers. my hands fall asleep often especially when I m sleeping. my knuckles feel stiff and sore. I can no longer put on or take off my rings without much pain and difficulty? what could possibly be my problem?
Hello Dear. A detailed work up needs to be done to find out whether there is any pathology in you or not.
1. Kindly visit a physician who may first ask to get your sugar levels tested to see if you have diabetes or not. Tinglingnumbness is common in diabetics
2. Also may need to check your blood urea, creatinine to see if kidney function is normal. swelling in any part of the body can be due to kidney disorders
3. Need to check rheumatoid factor in blood to see if you have rheumatoid arthritis
If these tests are normal then we can think that there is no much pathology and simple joint pain which can be treated with pain killers and if required antibiotics
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
