What Causes Tickling Sensation At The Anal Opening?

some months back, I was very sick due to something that was in my stomach where it felt like every normal activity in my stomach halted for a period of 3 days. I had severe discomfort, a swollen belly, and flu like symptoms for a week. I have taken different digestive cleanse, and drank Diatomaceous Earth which relieved the major symptoms. My rectum was swollen and sore for weeks afterwards until I used some of the Diatomaceous Earth on it. The swelling went away, but then I noticed that there was a lack of muscle tone. Quite regularly through the day and night, there is a noticeable tickling at the entrance to my anus. I have not been passing any parasites in my stool. what could be causing the tickling, and are there any natural ways to treat this?
