What Causes Throbbing Hands After Getting Electrocuted?

I think I electrocuted myself. I was taking down lights outside but did not notice a shock or pain right away. My ring finger started hurting and was slightly red. 20 min later it was throbbing and some arm muscles towards my armpit hurt. Now it seems pretty well concentrated in my throbbing hand. No swelling. I don t think anything but me. Dies this sound like an electrical shock? How do I treat to feel better? It hurts badly and I am usually pretty tough.
