What Causes Thin Bloody Vaginal Discharge And Back Pain At 70?

I am 70, have no known family history of cancer, have never given birth or been pregnant, never used birth control pills, had perfectly normal periods all of life without monthly pain. i have experienced a very thin bloody discharge with lower back pain, much like the end of my normal period cycle. Is this something to be concerned about? I experienced no menopausal systems after the end of my last period.

Your symptoms & age can be correlated with menopausal or post-menopausal bleeding. Bleeding could be due to tissue growth, thinning & thickening of vaginal lining, medications or may be cancer.

Better to do Transvaginal USG & endometrial biopsy at the earliest for further evaluation. Consult a gynaecologist for assistance.
