What Causes The Feeling Of Something Stuck In The Throat?
I had a swollen tonsil and gland on the right side of my throat and it got into my sinuses. After seeing a doc I was prescribed 5 days of amoxiclav and levofloxacin. Good news is the swelling and infection seems to have gone but I have an annoying but not painful feeling that I have something stuck in the back of my throat like a flap of skin or similar. Any ideas how to get rid of it please?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the symptoms of something struck in throat with a history of having throat infection seems to be due to lingering infection in throat or post nasal drip as there is a possibility that the infection has not completely subsided by now..
I would suggest you to continue doing warm saline gargles and do steam inhalations.. You can also suck throat lozenges and chew a Vitamin C pellet daily.. Take Tylenol to relieve soreness and discomfort..
In case if you still do not find improvement in a week consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done according to the cause.
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
