What Causes Testicle Shrinking?

Over the past few years I have noticed my testicles have been shrinking, my right testicle is considerably small and the left is just about non-existent. I don't and never used steroids and I do sure from Low Testosterone. Is there a condition for this and what causes this...am I the only one? I am 39, 6'2" and 233 lbs. I have high cholesterol and was hospitalized two years ago for diverticulosis.

Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Testis does not shrink to non existence. It might be that the amount of fat in your lower abdomen is camouflaging the testes in the scrotum. You may consult an urologist and get ultrasound scan of testis done. This will show normal appearances of testis and scrotum. Most of the shrinking testis problems are psychological or due to increased amount of fat in lower abdomen.
