What Causes Tenderness In Upper Gums And Bruising Of Eye Bone?

My husband first got a lip sore that presented like a cold sore but no itching, tingling or burning, the next day his right side of face was swollen as well as a swollen gland and lump in cheek mass on the same side and blood shot right eye. The next day sensitive upper gums on the right side as well as eye bone area felt bruised.
What could this be. Thank you

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain swollen cheek along with tender upper gums and swollen gland in neck can be due to infection in sinus while it can also be due to allergic reaction to any unknown allergic.
Cellulitis can be one cause..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician or a General Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done..
As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Advil or Motrin, anti-allergics like Benadryl and do cool compresses over the face..
You can also put steroid eye drops..
In case if there is any congestion decongestants oral as well as nasal can be taken..
Do steam inhalations.
