What Causes Tender, Red Inflammation On Head Around A Mole?

Hi I have had a mole on my head for as long as I can remember.. I am 20 now and about 3 days ago while I was brushing my hair I realized that the mole and the area right around it was tender, red, and inflamed.. today I pressed on the skin around it and it started oozing pus. Also lately when I go in the sun my pupils get unusually small. What s going on with me?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query.
I would like you to upload the pictures of it in the premium questions, as it is difficult to comment on it without examination.
It may or may not be related to the mole, it might be folliculitis. But better to get it checked.
Avoid squeezing it, it increases the risk of secondary bacterial infection.
You can apply neosporin ointment to it.
Take care
