What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes On Both Sides Of Neck?

I have very painful glands on both sides of my neck, close to the ears. I can t lay on them as they are so painful, nor turn my neck far either way. I had the same symptom 3-4 weeks ago, ran a fever, then the pain totally went away. I do have a sinus infection/allergies now. I normally don t have the extremely paingul glands like this. What is best to help soothe the pain and make it go away?

Welcome at HCM
i appreciate your health concerns
What is your age? Any fever?
Painful lymph nodes are mostly due to infection. You should meet ENT surgeon so that you can be examined and investigated properly. You should get your Fbc ESR along with X ray PNS.
Other causes of cervical lymphadenopathy should also be looked for.
You may need antibiotics and painkillers.
Stay calm and take acetaminophen along with saline gargles to relieve pain and fever.
Hope it helps

Saad
