What Causes Swollen Lymph Node On Left Side Of Neck And Tiredness?

I went to an Urgent Care last Friday due to a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck. My throat was a bit tight , neck sore in the general area of the node, tired a lot. I was told it was caused from allergies and given a regime to follow (no antibiotics-did have fluid in both ears and no infection in ears/sinus or red throat). I cannot find any information showing on the web how I can have swollen lymph node from allergies. How does this even happen??

I have gone through your and being your physcian ii completely understand your health concerns.
what is ur age ? for how long u are suffering from it? any other associated problem? like diabetes or hyptertension? any history of TB in past or exposure to TB? are u having fever? any other lymph node swelling in ur body? any sorethroat?
As far as allergy is concerned , i dont think it causes enlargemnt of lymph nodes. you should meet an ENT SURGEON so that you can be examined properly.
it may occur in throat infection , ear infection as well as in tuberculosis. other differentials include lymphoma. but again these are just differentials you need proper assesment before embarking upon any diagnosis
meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
