What Causes Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck After Hepatitis-B Vaccination?

I am 18 years old male. I have lymph node enlargement on the side of neck after Hepatitis B vaccination. My radiology and blood reports are normal. Even after one week antibiotic and paracetamol medication the swelling persists. Please provide proper guidance for further treatment

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hepatitis B vaccine does not cause enlargement of lymph nodes of neck. Neck lymph nodes are usually enlarged due to local infection. These nodal swellings usually take time to resolve completely even after clearance of infection. Which antibiotic you have taken you have not written here. You can repeat antibiotic for 7 days.
Advice
1.     Cefixime 100 mg daily per oral daily for 7 days
2.     Ibuprofen 600 mg per oral after meal if pain occurs
3.     Investigation
a.     Complete blood count
b.     Hemoglobin%
c.     ESR
If after 7 days course of cefixime, your neck swelling does not resolve then get done Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) of lymph node.
I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question
Thanks
