What Causes Swollen Glands In The Throat Along With Intermittent Fever?

Hi.. I have a situation where I d drank entirely 2 much over the holiday wknd & apparently dried-out my throat & esophagus. Symptoms incl: Severe pain while attempting 2 swallow ANYTHING; not even my own saliva. My glands are swollen, but the fever comes & goes, which kind of indicates to me that it s NOT just about a full day of excessive binge-drinking; I may have caught some pathogen. (Been self-medding Tylenol for the pain) & it s been working. But sore throat remains & the insides of my mouth & tongue feels swollen as well. I know it sounds funny, but THAT S EXACTLY how it feels
