Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have swollen epiglottis along with sore throat and cough which is due to upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination as infection has already spread. You should get throat swab test , viral culture test , complete blood profile to find out extent of infection. For now do warm saline gargles. Take steam inhalation. Take proper rest , keep yourself hydrated. Maintain hygiene. Take diet rich in multivitamins. You should start with antibiotic such as augmentin along with decongestants and anti inflammatory such as Levocetirizine . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedician if he/ she finds your muscle pain to be severe.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
