What Causes Swollen Ankles And Rash On Lower Legs?

I have swollen ankles and a rash on my lower legs whenever I fly long distance or ride in a car for a long time. I am on amlodipine for mild HBP. I also have had Reynauds syndrome my whole life. Is there something besides support hose that can help prevent the swelling and capillaries breaking through?

Your history of high blood pressure and Raynauds make you susceptible to such problems. During long flights and drives try to walk in plane and during drive make few stops and walk to get the veins in the leg work and pump back the blood to heart. Get your renal function tests done. You can also use pressure stockings besides all this. And most importantly visit your GP so that he may see what that rash is and rule out any DVT or vericosities.
