General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, wound infection may relapse and may need a repeat incision and drainage as well as prolonged antibiotics usage.

However, it would have been better to send wound discharge for pus culture and sensitivity to isolate the causative agent and antibiotics it will be responsive to. Anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen should also be used along.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
