What Causes Swollen And Painful Lump On Scalp?
I hit the top of my head on a shelf and it hurt for a few seconds and that is it. The next day got a lump and very sore. It got worse as I lay down and now have a swelling that is very sore at the base of my scalp too. No nausea or confusion. Is this normal?

Lump on scalp because of hit could be inflamatory response of scalp .For pain you may take tab. tramadol or tab. ibugesic.If swelling increases gradually then it may be cause of concern ,otherwise you may get checked once by a nearby physician if the swelling and pain increases.
