What Causes Swollen And Numb Part On Tongue Post ACL Reconstruction Surgery?

Hi, recently I had surgery on my right ACL. After the surgery I had a small swollen and numb part on my tongue. The doctor said its rare but it s probably because of the anesthesia. It s been 72 hours post-op and it s still the same. Should I be concerned?

Hello

Yes there can be numbness due to anaesthesia ,no need to worry.
You can take vitamin B12 supplement to reduce numbness.
Injectable vit B 12 are superior for achieving normal sr B12 level as intestinal absorption as with oral medication is not there, so I will advise to take intramuscular injection alternate day at least 3.
Vit B12 helps in nerve conduction so normal level will improve problem of numbness.
